Remember when I used to blog twice a week?
Yeah, me neither, it’s been too long!
I completely blame social media. I really update over there so often that I don’t do it here.
Currently twice on my Instagram and one video per week on Youtube.
But it’s a mistake! Social media comes and goes, some stay some die, but I have full control over my own website.
Also, got a newsletter and my subscribers know always first when I have some new art available.
Google Analytics? Gone!
It took me forever to realize this, but I have been recently looking for a new coder for my website maintenance and during one chat I realized I never use google analytics, but they reap the benefits of all the data collected from you guys who come here to see my art.
And so after a few days of thinking and a bunch on online searches, I decided to get rid of it, and yes, I removed google analytics from my website.
No more useless data tracking!
Human Tide + Conservation
I have also finally finished a new artwork to put on my website that doesn’t go through a gallery! This one is my third polar bear sculpture and a lot darker than the previous ones. but the world is a mess in terms of environment, politics and social questions. So it feels accurate.
I went for “human tide” because it reminded me of a “black tide” (the oil spill) but this time, the problem is us, humans.
From now on I will also give off 10% to conservation organizations from my art sales. Considering systemic change is still far from upon us, I feel that this bandaid is quite crucial.
On a more cheerful note, I participate in a worldwide game/event created by @attayumfactory
The idea is to create mushroom related art, hide it where you live and people can then seek and find it to keep. I know one of my friends is really interested so at least I know someone will find and keep it, that really was my biggest fear, that nobody would want it ^^’
I will be hiding blue boletus somewhere in Vannes this coming Saturday, August 15.
I realize I didn’t write this here on this blog, but my gaz mask is currently in London, so if you live there or are not far from there, go see it. I wrote about it my portfolio/shop. I always update it when I have new artworks, I just don’t always blog about it.
I highly encourage you to go check it out, I think art should be experienced in real if you can, just make an appointment with Trinity Art Gallery first.
Available, please contact Trinity Art Gallery in London if interested.
My childhood barbie doll in blue coral goo is also there 🙂
Also available, please contact Trinity Art Gallery in London if interested.
Really ought to write more often on this blog!
Hope you are all doing ok in this mad, mad world!
