I’ve been living in my usual colorful bubble and feel so happy here, with my ideas and my cats than I really don’t want to go back to custom orders. I think I’ll just keep those as low as possible.
This and past week I’ve been making some variations on colored layer cakes. That seems to be something I really like to do, here some other similar cakes I made in the past :
colorful layered cakes
pastel rainbow cakes
I had to make a huge rainbow cake, a classic by now 🙂
Then I also made a sheep cake, that might go on a farm themed dessert table I’m working on. But I’m just not sure about this one.
These colors just told me “sunset”, so I created a color gradation on the outside. When my BF saw it, he thought the gradation wasn’t perfect enough and suggested to decorate the cake. So I just added a few flowers, giving it a tropical island feel 😀
This cake was a bit harder for me, because the colors were the same than a cake I made previously and I wanted to make something new. So I struggled a bit but when I saw the miniature rose (the one I made for my tutorial book, btw) I just saw the cake.
The flower cake is the only cake I drew before. It just came to my mind. I’m not too sure why, but I draw it and made it 🙂
The miniature cakes are available in my petitplat shop.
Next post will be about some work in progress 🙂
