Moving Forward, Stéphanie Kilgast

Moving Forward, get the print, get the lemon earrings

3 weeks into 2016 and I am learning to be kind to myself.
Since I started sculpting the elephant 2 weeks or so ago, I have not painted.
But that is ok, I think that challenge was a little too heavy anyway. Right now I’m thinking of doing a weekly painting.

This morning I tried some new routine, yoga before breakfast and that was nice. I think it’s about time to get into the morning yoga routine, so I will try to stick to the following schedule for the next three months. I already do some yoga every evening, but I feel I could benefit from some morning yoga as well.

8h30 up, up!
8h30 – 8h45 – take care of the cats
8h45 – 9h30 – morning yoga
9h30 – 10H – breakfast while browsing the web
10h – 12h – work
12h – 14h – cooking, lunch, enjoying JY
14h – 19h – work
19h – 20h – dinner
22h – 22h30 – end of day yoga

Also, I’m trying to rid myself of too much decision making, so I made a weekly schedule for what I’d like to work on. As I have not followed a weekly schedule (or any kind of schedule for that matter), I have no idea if it’s going to work out for me, but am giving it a try.
Needless to say, I’m going to work daily on incoming orders.
Obviously, this isn’t really strict, more a heap of things I’d like to work on every week.
I haven’t noted the week-end, as I am trying to not work on the week-ends this year, but in real life, week-ends are also filled with a few hours of work.

Monday – Book n°2 + Blogging
Tuesday – Youtube Videos / Sculpture
Wednesday – Develop New Jewelry
Thursday – Abstract Painting + Blogging
Friday – Finishing all Orders

that’s cool, but leave room for flow. many women creatives don’t adhere to factory like schedules. 🙂
what works for you is right, no matter what the world says.

Of course! But I like routines, so if I can figure out a working one for myself, that would be good 🙂

Good luck 🙂 A bit of structure does wonders for me. The getting up at the same time, and really have that lunch break works well, whatever happens in between is mostly very productive because of that.
The 15 minutes for the cats is cute 🙂

I think it is great to have such schedule. I would probably not do anything without some borders.
But what I envy you is getting up at 8:30 🙂 My alarm is 6:45….

I am not able to hold on such a timely schedule, I do have to-do lists for every day of the week except Sunday which helps me not to forget stuff and motivates me.
I am curious if it will help you in some way, and indeed daily challenges are hard!
Ah and I only eat twice a day, safes a lot of time 🙂

Ha! I eat even more than 3 times a day, as I have a afternoon something 😀
And I love to cook, for food times are usually great ones for me ^^
Right now I’m already more or less following that schedule, but for the morning yoga and the working. Sometimes I don’t work in the morning, so end up working until I go to bed. Not ideal.
Ah well, I’ll see how it goes!

Oh, I could live by that schedule for sure! But life is in the way. Up 6:30 on some days, when I don’t have to get up until 7:10 it’s like sleeping in.
Wish the best for you and your new structured life. 😉

Yes, some routines are good. I am also trying to take the weekends off this year. And stop computer stuff earlier (I am not very successful yet as it is almots 10pm right now).

    Good luck for you 😉

I think “loose” schedules are manageable, but if it’s too strict, it’s impossible to follow 🙂
