Crystals around a tin can that is a wide open mouth. Visual expression of the impossible hunger that can inhabit one person never to be completely satisfied with one’s life or work, to always seek more and go further in life.
Part of the ongoing series “I Can”, where I systematically grow erratic and surrealistic natural shapes onto tin cans. The dialogue between each can and growth expresses a different emotion, mood or state of the mind. They are personal and talk about myself, putting into shape what I feel or go through. They are very intuitive work whereI let my hands and the clay decide where to go after a rough sketch of the emotion I want to materialize.
