I decided to paint a caterpillar that is hanging/sipping on a straw.
Straws have become very controversial lately, because they’re useless for most people and they’re made out of plastic.
It’s pretty easy to refuse plastic straws when drinking out, hence the no plastic straws current these days.
Obviously, plastic straws are not the actual problem, they account to around 0,03% of the pollution. To this date, about 46% of all plastic pollution in the ocean is from fishing nets. (source)
However, ditching plastic straws sounds like nothing, but it’s still something easy to do, so I’d encourage you to rethink it.
