Hello!

Today, something a little different!
While sketching out ideas for an upcoming tutorial, I did a quick sketch of a face, which brought me to this small, but fun watercolor that I named “Gossip”.

I really liked how it turned out, so I decided to make a bigger more colorful painting, but while I was working, it looked more and more like cells or scales, so I dropped the face idea and simply let it grow, which resulted in “rainbow crowd” which you can see at the beginning of the post.

And since I thought this might be a lovely pattern, I turned it into one this morning and indeed, it works quite well!
Here below, some products I designed.

Abstraction

Now, this might seem very random to you, but I actually love abstract art, much more than figurative art, which is weird since I do figurative art. but then you sometimes enjoy doing certain things but love seeing different ones.

Colors have always been in the centre of my artwork and I do like repetitive patterns, which is quite obvious on my tin can sculptures, where 3 or 4 shapes are repeated.

Anyway!
That’s about it! I’m very please how this turned out, so I might play around and do a few other paintings to transform it into a small series. In which case, they will soon be available in the painting section of my website!

xx
Stéphanie
