Artwork Series I Can, Yellow, Stéphanie Kilgast, 2017

Hellooo!

First of, the can series has a name : “I Can”.
huhu ^^
I did work a bit on the website, although there is still lots to do. I do intend to sell my artworks, I’m just unsure on the how and it’s taking time, especially since most of my time is dedicated to sculpting these days, which can’t be when you are trying to sell. Yet I also need to build up a strong portfolio, argh ><

Anyway!

I Can : Yellow

The last can I did is yellow and rather energetic, which comes naturally with that color.
I almost got paralyzed on that one, as I did take a one day break from the others which simply flowed out of me and so I started to *gasp* overthink…
Luckily I snapped out of it and just started, letting my hands and the clay decide.

But… shit happens

What might have been expected and half expected I did, was the crushing of “rays” during baking. So that happened…
I could lie to you and tell you it’s all wanted but it wasn’t. And I think that’s ok, it’s part of the artwork, sometimes things happens in life, they get amiss, they break a little and get fixed.

Like the other cans, they’re all available.

xx
Stéphanie

    yes you can 🙂

They all are so pretty and unique in its own way! The red and yellow ones remind me of deep-sea hydro-thermal vents communities 🙂

Total schön und hintergründig. Nächstes Jahr musst du unbedingt auf der Berlin Art Week ausstellen.
