Rainbow Forest

IMG_3456.jpg

Hey hey!

Today something apparently more cheerful, though it’s also a bit apocalyptic, so who knows if it’s more of a happy or dramatic illustration?
I think it’s more of a happy one, at least!

For the last weeks I have been quite obsessed with forests, I even did a few studies in my sketchbook and also on loose paper. I have really been trying to be more intentional when it comes to my work, and studies have helped a great deal. It takes longer and it’s sometimes frustrating, but it proves to be useful!

It’s also quite fun to do studies, as there is less pressure than when spending days on a bigger artwork.

just a few studies

In the middle of the forest there are also two buildings. These are actual, real buildings that are in Vannes, the town I live in.
I absolutely love the look of that building and have been wanting to make it for years now, since we first moved in our current house.
So I was really happy to finally materialize that building in one of my artworks.

I decided to go with a rainbow color scheme, because, let’s be honest, I needed the cheerful colors.

This painting can be bought as print on redbubble and society6 if you are interested.

It will also be available in my next shop update, please subscribe to my newsletter to know exactly when!

You can also see the process of this painting over on my youtube channel!
